About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to support our operations and ensure efficient production scheduling, materials planning, and coordination between departments. This individual will play a key role in helping us meet customer deadlines, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels during a period of increased demand.

Requirements

In This Role You Will:

· Monitor work orders and job progress; proactively identify delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions

· Make corrections to work order BOMs as needed

· Coordinate closely with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on shop floor conditions

· Create and manage visual scheduling tools (spreadsheets, whiteboards, or planning boards

· Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to align material availability with production priorities

· Lead daily or weekly production scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams

· Manage work order statuses, make corrections as necessary

· Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and demand forecasting

· Troubleshoot fulfillment or other work order related issues

· Provide feedback for ERP item master/master data corrections

· Generate and maintain planning metrics, reports, and KPIs to support operations leadership

· Assist in transitioning planning activities into a more standardized or digital format (if applicable)


Qualifications/Skills:

· 3+ years of production planning or materials scheduling experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

· Strong understanding of MRP systems and planning tools (experience with ERP software such as Oracle, Epicor, SAP or similar)

· Familiarity with BOMs, routing, lead times, and inventory control

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Excellent organizational and communication skills

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Additional Skills:

· Oracle NetSuite ERP experience.

· Electrical distribution equipment manufacturing or engineered to order business


Work Environment: This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.
