Commercial & Industrial Product Manager (Energy Storage)
The Commercial & Industrial Product Manager is responsible for defining what gets built, why it matters, when it launches, and how it succeeds in the market. This role owns the full product lifecycle—from strategy and requirements to execution, performance, and profitability. You will lead the roadmap, product requirements, vendor alignment, certifications, and overall market fit for a portfolio of battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions, ranging from 100 kWh to multi-MWh systems. These solutions include batteries, inverters, enclosures, controls, and grid-interactive technologies. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of a rapidly evolving product line in a high-growth industry, with the ability to directly influence product direction, innovation, and market success.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap
Lead the Product Development Process (PDP) for energy storage solutions by translating market needs, customer insights, and technical requirements into clear product features and system architectures
Own the end-to-end product roadmap across a portfolio that includes battery systems, power conversion systems (PCS), energy management systems (EMS), thermal management, fire suppression, and balance-of-plant solutions
Conduct targeted market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive positioning within commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy storage markets
Develop and maintain detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) outlining functional, technical, regulatory, and performance expectations
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to balance performance, safety, reliability, cost, and scalability
Drive alignment across cross-functional teams including operations, quality, project management, and marketing to ensure successful product delivery
Support product launches through positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing

Strong ability to evaluate technical, financial, and operational data to inform product decisions
Proven experience managing complex, technical product lines
Ability to travel to the facility outside the DFW metroplex (around 2hrs depending on location)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with global manufacturing partners and supply chains
Background in scaling products within the U.S. market
Practical understanding of permitting and regulatory environments (AHJ considerations)
Ability to effectively balance speed, cost, and quality in product development
Why This Role
This position is ideal for someone who wants to own a product line end-to-end, influence innovation in a rapidly growing sector, and work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and execution—without being confined to a narrow scope.
